Biography

My name is Rocío R. Bradley. I am a Fine Arts teacher at Lincoln Elementary School.

I was born in Mexico City. I graduated from the “National School of Teachers” ENM as an Elementary school Teacher. Then, I graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as an Economist. I have a Med Educational Technology from City University, and a M.Ed. in Spanish from Salamanca University Spain. I came to USA with a scholarship from Berkeley University were I got my English as a Second Language Certificate.

I am the pioneer teacher of the Newcomers Center in Mount Vernon School District. I have been also an interpreter, and translator.

During all my studies I have been learning and perfuming Mexican Folkloric Dances. As part of the Conjunto Folcklorico Magisterial (Mexican Dance Group) I was able to travel to different countries in Europe and Central and South America. I have lived in Mexico City, Barcelona, Spain, Brugge, Belgium,  Berkeley, California and Mount Vernon, Washington.  One of my extracurricular activities at MVSD has been teaching Mexican dance to students, teachers, and sometimes to parents.

I received National Board Certification in November, 2011.
