Happy Friday,

Mariachi Scholarship
I had the privilege of presenting a student in the Mariachi program with the “Dr. Vivanco Mariachi Scholarship”.  This was an opportunity for me to not only give back to our student community, but to see students excel in the arts and music. Congratulations to Iker Martinez for being the recipient of this yearly scholarship.  

School Safety
The district is aware of a nationwide school violence threat on social media that was marked for December 17th.  These threats appear to be from the same string of threats that began in the fall of this year via social media and Tik Tok.  At this time, we are not aware of confirmed or validated actual pending violence.  We do take these threats seriously.  We ask that staff and students continue to be observant and report anything unusual or suspicious.

Beca Mariachi
Tuve el privilegio de presentarle a un estudiante del programa de Mariachi el “Dr. Vivanco Beca Mariachi ”. Esta fue una oportunidad para mí no solo de retribuir a nuestra comunidad estudiantil, sino también de ver a los estudiantes sobresalir en las artes y la música. Felicitaciones a Iker Martinez por ser el beneficiario de esta beca anual.

Seguridad de estudiantes
El distrito está al tanto de una amenaza de violencia escolar a nivel nacional en las redes sociales que se marcó para el 17 de diciembre. Estas amenazas parecen provenir de la misma serie de amenazas que comenzaron en el otoño de este año a través de las redes sociales y Tik Tok. En este momento, no tenemos conocimiento de violencia pendiente real confirmada o validada. Nos tomamos muy en serio estas amenazas. Pedimos que el personal y los estudiantes continúen observando y reporten cualquier cosa inusual o sospechosa.
