Should my child stay home from school today?

Please keep your child home from school if they have any of the following:

  • A fever over 100°F, or they feel especially warm to the touch
  • A new, frequent, productive cough or sneeze (with a lot of mucus)

Also consider keeping your child home for any combination of symptoms that would make it hard to learn, such as:

  • A very sore throat
  • A very stuffy or runny nose that is distracting or hard to manage
  • Unusual tiredness
  • Lack of appetite
  • Watery eyes, trouble focusing, or sensitivity to light
  • Vomiting
